Gets Sh*t Done

ABOUT NICK

Hi, I’m Nickolay Lamm—and I get shit done.

I’ve launched products that went viral, raised over half a million through crowdfunding, and built businesses from scratch to over $6 million in total sales.

  • In 2014, I launched Lammily, the world’s first realistically-proportioned fashion doll. It raised $500K on Kickstarter and was featured on CNN, GMA, and Time Magazine. I came up with the initial designs, built the MVP prototype, raised funding, and worked with an overseas supplier to manufacture the initial run of 20,000 dolls.

  • Between 2014–2016, Lammily generated $3.5 million in revenue—entirely self-funded and self-marketed. I used a combination of viral product releases, viral videos, and paid ads. I filmed on Shark Tank (never aired because Mattel released Curvy Barbie in 2016 and it would have looked like I was copying them).

  • In 2020, I launched Teleplay, a green screen video kit that pivoted into a tool for business owners. It brought in another $2.5 million. I came up with the initial concept, built an MPV to test demand, found a supplier to make the parts, and assembled everything in house under my direction. I even bought laser machines and became an expert laser machine tool controller at one point. Supervised all the shipping.

  • I’ve filmed, edited, and ran the paid ads for all my products—no agency, no outside funding. Spent over $500K on Facebook Ads.

  • Most recently, I invented the world’s first stick handling video game, which went viral on Reddit and is currently in beta.

So why am I looking for a job? (can also take on fractional CMO, CPO, or CIO roles)

  1. I want to keep learning—especially from people who are smarter than me.

  2. I’d rather have a stable role and scale my business on the side than rely 100% on entrepreneurship.

  3. My latest venture, PicPulse, was doing $70K in sales, but the explosion of AI video generators made the market way more competitive.

If your team values scrappy builders who move fast and figure it out—let’s talk.

What if you want access to my brain but don’t want to hire me?

If there’s enough demand I’ll launch a private Facebook group where I do a deep dive into how I launch products with almost no money, test demand, and build a real business. Pricing at $49/month and you can ask me any questions you want in the group. Contact me at nickolaylamm@gmail.com

What if I want to learn more about you?

Check out nickolaylamm.com. I wrote a very lengthy blog post about my journey 3 years ago, so it’s dated, but how I think is all written there.

PHILOSOPHY

If the universe can create such awful events which, statistically, almost never happen. Then I can create my own events, which, statistically, should never happen as well.

If I can uncover a truth which nobody else saw, I can say to myself that no matter how numbingly painful life can be at times, there’s always something amazing worth fighting for.

All I have to do is try.

Viral content machine

In 2012-2013 so much of my content went viral online via news outlets that it caught the attention of my local paper, Pittsburgh Tribune Review which did a piece on me.

Super viral.

One of my illustrations showed what Barbie would look like as a women with realistic body proportions. It went mega viral.

Taking on Barbie.

In 2014 I founded the Lammily line of dolls, the first line of realistically proportioned fashion dolls, with no prior experience in the toy world. It did millions in sales, was featured everywhere from Good Morning America to CNN to Fox News. It taught me that ANYTHING is possible. I just gotta go for it.

From dolls to technology.

In 2020, I launched Teleplay, a green screen video kit for kids that pivoted into a tool for business owners. It brought in another $2.5 million.

Software Mogul.

I pivoted the technology used in Teleplay to an easy to use design software called PicPulse which was doing $80k/month in revenue at its peak.

Revolutionizing the hockey world.

One of the most overlooked aspects of hockey is stick handling. You need to look up and it’s a skill few do well. So I single handedly invented the first ever stick handling video game by managing a team of programmers and investing my own money into its development. Since then I’ve built a team who has taken it from a demo concept product to a real game.

I posted a video of our game to Reddit and it went viral, becoming the 19th most viral post of all time in the hockey players Reddit. Currently it’s in beta and set to release in 4 weeks.
